About This Music Release
Run the Jewels 3 (often stylized as RTJ3) is a 15-song album by the hip-hop duo Run the Jewels (Killer Mike and El-P). It was released digitally on Dec. 25, 2016 (as a surprise Christmas drop) via Run the Jewels, Inc. (with physical editions following in 2017).
The image shows the iconic vinyl cover: a pair of sculpted golden hands—one forming a pistol (finger gun), the other a clenched fist—set against a gradient blue background. This evolved version of their signature "pistol and fist" logo (originally illustrated on earlier albums) was physically sculpted in gold for RTJ3, symbolizing inner strength and self-worth ("You are the jewel").
Produced mostly by El-P with contributions from Little Shalimar, Wilder Zoby, and others, it features guests like Danny Brown, Joi, Kamasi Washington, Trina, and Boots. Highlights include "Legend Has It," "Talk to Me," and "Thursday in the Danger Room." Critically acclaimed (Pitchfork Best New Music, Metacritic 88/100), it debuted at #13 on Billboard 200 and is seen as a peak in their politically charged, aggressive sound.

Firmly in the hip-hop genre with hardcore, political, and boom bap influences, it's a modern classic—raw, revolutionary, and essential.
The £20 price sticker and "Hip Hop" genre tag suggest this is a UK shop find (original vinyl retailed higher, but used copies vary). Killer Mike & El-P at their finest! 👉🤛
